1. I love Fridays. Even if I have to work. Everything just seems better on a Friday.
2. The Winter Olympics are going on right now. And it has some of oddest sports. I mean what little kid says, "Mommy, I want to be an Olympic curler when I grow up!" Never the less, it is quite entertaining to watch. And the women's downhill skiing competition was CRAZY! Those women were going down a mountain on 2 little skis at 70 mph! And all I can say about Shaun White, wow.
3. A co-worker of mine is on a mission trip to Africa. I can't wait for her to get back and tell me some stories! Her husband called to update us and said that the village they are in picked out a goat for them to have for dinner. Yikes. I don't know if I could eat a goat.
4. Lean Cuisine lunches never do the trick. I know they are supposed to but, they just don't. Guess I will fill up on my Valentine's day candy.
5. A swagbucks update...I blogged about trying Swagbucks as a new search engine. So far I have earned 35 swagbucks. I am savign up as much as I can to get something. I'm not sure what they something is though...
This was my journey through college. Then Grad school. Then dating, love and work. Then marriage. Now, it's building a house and starting our lives together. And then later...way later...babies.

SNOW?! Part 2
Well, shortly after posting the last blog I went to the window..I felt like a 6 year old kid again!! This is what I saw...
Snow all over the ground! About an inch deep! Chris and I had a snowball fight and made snow angels...
So we had our fun and I went to bed. Well, the next morning....WOW!! I have never seen anything like this! EVERYTHING was white and covered in snow! It was SO beautiful! I had a small urge to move to Colorado in that moment.
Now I love me some sunshine, but this was breath taking!

SNOW?!
Snow? In Louisiana? Yep, that's right! Today, February 11, 2010 Shreveport had a steady down pour of snow since about 7:00 a.m. I have never seen it snow this much! And BIG snowflakes all day! The only downside, none of it stuck to the ground :( It snowed, and snowed and snowed today, and it's still snowing! And not a smidge stuck to the ground! When I came home there had been accumulation on the chairs on the patio, so I snapped a few pictures of it...
Maybe I will wake up to a blanket of white snow in the morning...one can hope. <3

L.O.V.E.
1 Corinthians 13:4-10
"4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears."
Love. What a powerful, little four letter word. All this talk of love steams from dear Saint Valentine who we will be celebrating Sunday. On a side note, does anyone know what St. Valentine did? Obviously something pretty loving…
But back to this verse; I love (no pun intended) this verse. It is such a pure and truthful verse. This is God’s perfect description of love. How much better of a place would the world be if we all loved like this? If we never envied what others had or we were not rude and boastful. If we loved to always trust, always hope and always persevere. How much less divorce would there be? How many more happy families would never be broken? Love never fails. Love never fails. Isn’t that encouraging? If we love purely like this verse it will never fail us.
If we never held a record of wrong. I am so thankful my God does not hold a record of wrong. I am thankful He loves me in spite of me not loving others the way I am suppose to. I am so thankful to a loving God that when His perfection comes, my imperfections disappear.
I hope everyone has a great Valentine’s day. I hope you have someone to love. And it doesn’t have to be a significant other. Show love to a stranger (in a non creepy way). A small act of kindness can go a long way. Learn to love, to love on other people.
And yes, I know this post on Valentine's day is a bit early, but I will be celebrating love all weekend! And really, who needs a specific day to learn to love others? We can love any ole day of the week we want! <3

February???
February 1st?! Where did you come from? I thought New Year's Eve was yesterday!? Goodness! Well now that January is over I have a new blog count for the month. So I am starting off on the right foot for February!
Four Funny Facts for February:
1. This title is an alliteration...the commencement of two or more stressed syllables of a word group either with the same consonant sound or sound group...I love grammar!
2. Even though I love grammar, I am still a horrible speller. I always hated February because I could never spell it! To this day I still have to double check myself. (I looked on my Outlook calendar today).
3. My best friend since birth, birthday is in February. When I was a kid her birthday and the Valentine's Day Scooby Doo card exchange at school was all I could relate to February.
4. Valentine's Day is coming up soon. I did a little shopping and I think my idea is quite clever. We shall see...
5. I changed my alliteration to Four Funny Facts for February when I couldn't think of a fifth one...
Well tomorrow is Groundhog's day. I think it should be a holiday. I would like to take off work and go have a chat with the groundhog and make sure he doesn't see his shadow. Or do I want him to see his shadow? Whichever it is I don't want 6 more weeks of winter! I am ready for SUN!!
Got that Mr. Groundhog?
