Wedding day!

July 30, 2011

Our Wedding Day.

It was actually a completely stress-free day, for me. I believe my mom was freaking out bit, but I just knew if anything was going to come up, we would get it figured out. I knew where all the wedding party was. The girls were with me all day, the boys went paintballing. Everyone knew their time to be at Hill Country, and it was all easy as pie.

I actually slept pretty good the night before. I did wake up 30 minutes before my alarm. The girls began showing up at my house to get ready. Susan came to my house to do everyone's hair and we went two at a time to Couture Cosmetics to have make up done. Casey and Jennifer (and of course Faith) were fabulous and our make-up was AMAZING!

Mallory came to help with hair.
The only person to cut my hair.
We had Jason's Deli for lunch plus candy galore, rice crispy treats and pink lemonade to top it off- though I had about 17 bottle of water.

That is one thing I noticed, I had to pee every 5 seconds. I don't know if it was nerves or what. Weird.

We all got ready and ended up having about and a hour and a half before we had to leave for Hill Country. We sat around chatted, had a toast, and watch The Break-up. Irony? We were all talking about that scene at the table where they sing, so we just had to watch it!

One last toast before we head out.
We made it out to Hill Country. We looked at all the finishing touches Jeanie was putting together. Listened to a little music. And tried to relax a bit. I really wasn't feeling any nerves yet. Chris said he was just anxious and ready for everything to start.

My favorite picture.
We got dressed and took group pictures out front before the ceremony so we wouldn't have much to do after the ceremony.

There ceremony was perfect. There were way more people there than I expected which was nice. I can't wait to get the pictures back from Hunter so I can see the whole ceremony!!

Lingerie Shower

After the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, I got together with the girls one last time for a Lingerie Shower. We really did have a blast and got some good treats!

Modeling my gift from Hannah. Haha!
We played a hilarious game of "ask Chris a question about Jennifer and try to guess his answer." Wow, sometimes I wonder about that kid. Example questions:

Q: Jennifer's favorite movie? A: The Little Mermaid
I do love Ariel, but really?

Q: Jennifer's dream vacation? A: Haiti
Bless his heart. He meant TAHITI. While on the plane to the honeymoon, I asked him and explained the difference. His response, "Ohhh, yeah that's what I meant."

Q: What is Jennifer's favorite food? A: (exact spelling) carrot souflay
The funniest part about this is the spelling. And while carrot soufflĂ© is yummy, I wouldn't say it is my favorite food.

Q: Who is Jennifer's dream celebrity? A: Eric Church
Really? Of all celebrities, he comes up with Eric Church? Ryan Reynolds? Ben Afflect? Ryan Gossling? Come on Chris!

There were several questions, but those were the best, worst answers. Gotta love him.

One minute to make a wedding dress! The winners!
A good effort.
Close second.
Sweet treats.
We had a lot of fun and it was a good way to calm down for the night and get ready for tomorrow!

Rehearsal Dinner

Friday night before the wedding, we had a fiesta! After we got the logistics of the wedding down at the actual rehearsal, it was on to the party!

We had quite the fiesta. Lots and lots of food: fajitas, rice, beans, chips, salsa, bread pudding and cheesecake. What can I say, we love food.

We had a few short toasts but mainly just a good time with friends and family.

Pictures tell the best story:

Pre-Wedding

WOW! What a crazy, wonderful 2 weeks I have had!!

I AM MARRIED!!

Holy cow. It is awesome. Chris really is the love of my life and it is awesome to know he is mine forever. I love him so much and our day was amazing!

But before we get to the wedding day, there was so much going on before the wedding!

First, our accountability group from high school got together. We started this tradition when Lindsay got married last summer. And we continued with my wedding and Brooke's is next! It is soooo weird to say I have known most of these girls since middle school- over 10 years ago! Yikes!

Jordan, Lindsay, Me, Jacqueline, Lauren, Kelly (Laura came but had to leave early and we missed you Brooke!)
So that was Thursday. Then comes Friday: Bridal Tea, Nails and Rehearsal Dinner.

Three of my other mothers hosted a bridal tea on Friday at the Glenwood Village Tearoom. It was quite lovely and we all had a great time. It was just a chance to sit and have lunch before the madness of Saturday started (which turned out to be quite stress-free!).

After lunch we all went to have our nails done! We decided to do that Friday, just one less thing to have to do Saturday. We had so much fun at Red Carpet Nails. We had a huge room in the back to ourselves. We relaxed in those fabulous massage chairs and had a girly little time.
